SUMMARY:Artist Showcase Gathering
DESCRIPTION:The Hummingbird Artist Showcase is our small way to uplift loca
 l artists by displaying their art\, giving them a platform to speak about 
 their work\, and inviting our community to engage with art\, creativity\, 
 and one another.\nJoin us in our inaugural Artist Showcase! This evening\,
  the artists will present their work\, speak on what inspired them to crea
 te\, and explain their process. Please stay to view the art\, talk to the 
 artists\, and enjoy light food and drink. \n\nAutumn Session\n\nSeptembe
 r - November\nWe are so excited to introduce Ally Yuscavage as our residen
 t Artist for the Autumn Session.\nHer art will grace the walls of our spac
 e\, bringing life\, creativity\, and new perspective to our space.\n\nAlly
  will be installing a postcard collage that encourages visitors to choose 
 an unspoken-for piece to write a message to a friend on. Then\, it will re
 turn to the wall until the end of November\, when they will all be sent ou
 t at once. The recipient gets a unique piece of art and a moment of connec
 tion.\nAlly’s photography will also be on display. From Pennsylvania to 
 British Columbia\, Alaska to Thailand\, Hawaii to New Mexico\, Ally has s
 pent years traveling the world and trying to capture moments of its immens
 e beauty.\nHer outdoor photography tries to capture the idea of “Yūgen
 ”. Yūgen is a Japanese term that encompasses the idea of profound aware
 ness of one’s smallness in the face of the world and the indescribable e
 motions such awareness can create.\n&nbsp\;\nThis program aims to remove a
 ny financial burden on the amazing artists we work with\, including avoidi
 ng us taking any percentage of sales for their work. To do this\, we are a
 sking for a $10 donation for those who come to the Showcase Gathering. We 
 humbly ask that anyone who feels called to become a patron of the arts par
 ticipate in our Showcase Gatherings by donating or purchasing from the art
 ist directly.\nIf you are an artist and would like to submit your work for
  consideration\, please fill out this FORM. We only have enough space for 
 a few artists every year and cannot choose everyone\, but we will hold ont
 o everyone's information for future consideration.
