SUMMARY:Herbal Alchemy: Infused Oils & Skin-Loving Salves
DESCRIPTION:\n\nJoin us around the hearth for this wintertime herbal medici
 ne-making class on tending to our largest organ -- the skin -- through the
  making of infused herbal oils and skin-loving salves! In the first class 
 of our monthly herbal medicine series taught by herbalist Alyssa Schimmel 
 of Enspiriting Healing &amp\; Ritual Arts\, we'll cover favorite herbs for
  tending and nurturing the skin\, alleviating inflammation &amp\; pain\, a
 nd supporting a variety of skin conditions.\n\nAttendees will meet skin-su
 pportive herbal allies and learn the benefits of natural oils and garden-g
 rown and foraged ingredients that will then be crafted into take-home salv
 es to support wound healing. This workshop will also prepare mutual-aid s
 alves to support elders of the Navajo Nation in Black Mesa\, Arizona.\n\n+
 \n\nHerbal Alchemy is an herbal medicine making class series that channels
  deep reverence for the green world through practical community-based medi
 cine making from grown and foraged plants. Alyssa has been practicing and 
 teaching herbal medicine for the past 16 years and has led community herba
 l medicine making programs at arboretums\, K-12 schools\, universities\, s
 enior homes\, recovery homes\, and more.\n\n+\n\nPlease bring a notebook\,
  a mug for herbal tea\, and whatever materials best support your comfort a
